Cost effective way of improving my head light beam?

i have had no problems with my 100w bulbs no overheating wires no battery drain ...just better lights

i think brianmoooore did a thing on this and the extra current drawn wasnominal and did not affect the use or damage any components

100W headlamp bulbs will take nearly twice the current that the standard ones do. The point I was making was that the ones I obtained were complete fakes! Poor quality 55W bulbs, marked 100W.
For the dipped beams, I'd go for the cheap ebay HIDs. They are perfectly legal, the beam pattern (on mine, at least) is as good as the original bulbs, and they're still going strong after six weeks. They've totaly transformed dipped beam driving.
If you want to uprate the main beams as well, then GENUINE 100W bulbs will make a great improvement, but the fuses need to be changed for 10 amp ones, and the wires from the fuses to the headlamps, and from the headlamps to earth, really should be upgraded to at least 1.5mm or 2.5mm, to avoid excessive voltage drop, if nothing else.
