True....

I've taken a couple of bits off, Bonnet, Rad.....not much, but hoping to do some more Sunday before we start.

And all the electrics.

Ok.....I'll try....

Karan has suggested...

C101 Connector
Clutch Slave
Rad
Prop
Engine/Gearbox Mounts
Reverse Switch on G/Box

but he said this list might not be exhaustive......!!

Anymore things to do? And whats the score with keeping the loom on the engine?

EDIT: The loom under the inlet manifold on the 320i is sh1t, so can we keep the 325i one?

The manifold

Or taking the rest of the exhaust off?

Does the manifold stay on or have to come off?

I'm a bit confused (and stupid)

I would put new heat sheilds on the manifold as those are shagged. SO i would take the exhaust off the car but keep the manifold on till we get the engine out of the car.

Also the selector bushes you need to order some of those!!!!

dude....

u may hav eprobs removing manifol to downpipe joint--if u cant then just remove the manifold from head, and we can just pull the exhaust complete out of the car from underneath after removing mounts

Right.....

I'm not going home till Sunday, in the afternoon, so as soon as I get home, I'll try to do what I can till it gets dark!

Andrew, if I'm replacing the manifold gasket, shouldn't I replace the studs and nuts? Aren't we risking some breaking by doing this? It's just that none are broken at the moment?

:? :)

Yes but if anything goes wrong while the engine is out of the car its alot less pain to fix!

If you do it right it should be okay.
