I think it's fair to say that he keeps service parts in stock for lots of different cars. Turnaround from sending to receiving your injectors is very quick too.mrcool wrote:Looks worth doing when I get a chance to take them off. I presume you keep all the filters, o-rings etc required for E30 injectors in stock?

Six new injectors would cost more than many E30's on here are worth! Rebuilt ones perform identically to new ones, so why would you buy new?
Ok I'm sold. Once I figure out how to replace the fuel filter (don't want to clog up clean injectors) and get the car back from having the drive shaft fixed, Mr. InjectorTune will be getting my injectors too.
As a later come/piggy backer/squatter (delete term as appropriate) to this thread, I'm guessing I've missed the £10 an injector deal? Or is this a continuing offer for zoners?

I would consider contacting your local Trading Standards. Unfortunatly there is no Code of Conduct or Industrial Standard scheme for people like me to sign up to.
James.

I know - I posted to try and make it clear to others as well! I was going to suggest to baz that he now gets his injectors cleaned properly, rather than cosmetically, and see if any of the few remaining missing bhp reappear.Injectortune wrote:Not guilty!
Thanks for starting this thread Baz, its really caught on.
James, i'm keen to send my injectors but upon taking them out, one of the injectors has a cracked orange section (on the tip) which has now broken off. Is that replacable? - in which case i'll send it with the other 5 or would it mean replacing it with a new injector altogether?
Thought I'd post this rather than pm you incase other zoners come across this problem (hope they dont as nervous the bit hasn't fallen through..)
Thank you
Zahid

The orange part is called a pintle cap, and along with the rubber o-rings is replaced as part of my service. Simply send the set of six for a full service.
You can remove the inlet manifold and retrieve the plastic part from inside your cylinder head. It is likely to be resting against one of your inlet valves.

looking at a 10% increase in flow for those cleaned injectors. I'd say your car would want a trip to the gas anylyser for a tune up after refitting!!N00b wrote:

All 6 injectors now running at 150 cc/min.
Spray patterns were fair with 2 "fair/good" comments, whereas now they all score "Good".
Just a bit gutted I can't get them in the car right now.
Ps) That's good news and money well spent!

Finally got round to putting in my refurbed injectors this weekend. Now that's what I call value for money ! The difference is quite pronounced, particularly in throttle response.
Seems that my old ones were quite bad. I bought an extra set off No2lurch, (thanks
) to send to Injectortune, so I don't actually know how bad mine were.
The only thing is that the tickover is now slightly lumpy (nothing really to worry about) but does this suggest that I should get the gases tested and CO2 re-adjusted ?

It probably means you should disconnect your battery for a few minutes and let the ECU relearn the idle settings. That's what I'd do anyway!

Yes I can and yes I will.Baurluvva wrote:Will you do e36 325tds injectors?
Assuming there are no problems with your injectors (that is, no new parts are required) the price is £12.50 per injector for a strip/clean/rebuild/test.
If new parts (nozzles) are required then the price will increase by around £20 per injector, though this is very unlikely and is usually only required when injectors have rusted (meaning rusted) shut.
Most of the nozzles that I supply are to order (they are also mostly for old tractor and marine engines) so turnaround time is 2-3 days longer.
James.

Hello again everybody.
Thank you for your continued support of my business and for all the recommendations to other car enthusiasts that you have made. If I could buy you all a pint I would.
I have no intention of stopping the £10 special deal on injector servicing - you guys have been great to me and it's the least I can do to improve your motoring enjoyment and preserve the image of the E30 on British (and not-so-British!) roads.
Needless to say, I will be continuing my support of E30 Zone via Trader's Fees when the time comes.
Enjoy yourselves!

I fancy doing this myself, my engine only has about 50k on it but by jesus it is sore on the juice.
It even smells like its running slightly rich, could this be anything to do with injectors?
My mates e36 m3 is getting much better mpg than my sport, I know sports are sore on it but they can't be that bad, can they?

I just got 31mpg on a run - does that mean my injectors are running sweet as? Does running the odd tank of posh petrol make any difference?
