Hey guys, got a 320i and i am going to be changing the coolant tomorrow and i have a small problem which is when i turn the ignition on the needle on the temprature dial goes straight into the red zone for a couple of secs and then goes back to the blue zone, now when i last started the car a few days ago everything was fine with the temprature dial, just wondering why this is happening? and if the temprature dial will still give an accurate reading when i am changing the coolant? or do i need to get a replacement instrument cluster that is fully working before i can change the coolant?

thanks guys

Hi I had a similar problem with my 320i.I changed the SI Board not the dials and that sorted the problem for me.
