I have recently (december 2006) the heated seat elements I removed from my tatty old cloth interior (October 2005) when I fitted the leather I bought.
There were a few challenges to fitting the elements (like the elements being knackered and the seats having horizontal stitching), but I did it and they work! Hmm toasty bum!
I am willing to write up the process...
...plus it should be simple enough to wire up the elements even when your car is not fitted with them in the factory...
