Hi all

I'm running a 2.5 Ljet, so my question - which injector is suitable and be a good upgrade for my ride. M20 24 valve injectors or the M50 2.5 injectors. Would they fit nicely & any possible issues later?

Thanks

Unless you're causing the engine to eat up more air, there's no such thing as an injector upgrade.

Either get the injectors you have cleaned and reconditioned or find a good used set.

Dude there was a thread where a man changed his 325 injectors to m50 2litre injectors as they had the same flow rates as the 325 m20 injectors but 4 pintles as oposed to 1 which altered the spray pattern and he claimed gave the car better midrange power

you cant just swop injetcors about dude.

the ECU bases all its fuel calcs on the fuel flow of the injectors it was mapped on.

so ( example )

if @ 5K the engine opens its stock injectors for 10m/s delivering 100cc of fuel to each cylinder.

then you swop in some injectors with a higher flow rate( M50) the ECU will still open them for the same time period but would deliver 110cc/min to each pot, so 10% more fuelling everywhere and the ECU has no way of knowing its overfuelling.

in short, dont swop them out, replace like for like :thumb:
