power steering intermittent?

my power steering seems to be intermittent at the moment but not consistent, keeps feeling heavy and some times when turning a corner i have to pull it back to get it correct itself and go straight, almost feels like no assistance whatsoever and if i dont catch it back it will stay on right lock,
any ideas apreciated

Swapped the pump and sorted it!
