Hi all, how easy to replace and whereabouts is a 325i touring fuel pump?

(I know, I know, I'm on the hunt for a Bentley repair manual!)

Under the rear seat there is a plate that you remove to get to the pump.

Fuel pump is in the tank, access under the rear seat base, a plate with 4 screws on the offside of the car, remove the bolts and withdraw the sender in the centre and the remove the perimeter bolts, turn and remove the pump.
An E30 touring, two E28 M5's and an E28 528i.

Slight complication on a touring is that the fixing/hinge rail for the rear seat bases (just) gets in the way.
Slacken off three (or four??) hex headed grub screws and slide/twist the rail out.

easy to replace once located. couple of rubber fuel pipes and an electrical connection to unplug and a 3 or 4 small bolts to remove the pump. cost of a nrw pump is rather high if youve not looked into that yet. £150+ ish iirc even from ECP 8O

problem with second hand though is its a gamble on how long it lasts. you might be lucky and get years of use from it but alternatively it might pack in a week after fitting it as its likely to be as old as the one your replacing.
