Hi,
I've just removed the loom from my 318is and put it into the 320 shell. There are two relays ( and a third empty socket) that sit up near the windscreen on the loom. I've guessed that they may be the main (DMU?) and fuel pump relay as they look similar to my e34 ones (!) but not sure. Anyhow there was a red and white wire to one of the relays (drivers side) that looked like it had been cut and extra wires connected between. It was hard to trace them but I think they went to the alarm siren and also through the bulkhead on the passenger side.
Guessing again I figured it was to do with the alarm/immobiliser feed to the main relay or something similar and at the moment I've cut them out and I'm going to connect the red and white wire back together.
Does anyone have any idea what it might be?
Any suggestions appreciatted, Mr Have-a-go!

I'll go along with that!abelai wrote:Red and white is for the injectors and icv, the alarm was probably cutting the power for the injectors.
Thanks guys. Hopefully just connecting it together will do the job then. I don't want to think about any electrical problems I might have! Got the loom fitted and removed the front subframe today so steady progress
