All,

Have just come accross a good diff from a 318i touring and wondered if it could directly replace the current diff on my 325i touring ( mine is a wee bit whiney at present ). I understand acceleration would be better but top end would suffer ? Has anybody else tried this ?

Cheers

George

I have a 318i diff in my 318i fitted with a 2.5 engine.

It's standing up to the abuse so far, but it is low geared, the car will pull away in 3rd no problems :)

Acceleration is excellent, havn't tried it on the motorway yet, but it's leathal in the wet unless you are very carefull.

Depends what you want I s'posse, acceleration or crusing ability!

All E30 diffs are physically interchangeable.
