Engine flush?
Moderator: martauto
I have heard from reliable sources that paraffin based flushes can dislodge particles in the engine and clog oil ways etc. Your best bet is to do an oil change and then do another one in 1000 miles...
All IMO of course!

No I don't think hes mad, read the post its in preference to using engine flush and IMHO opinion is a very good idea, since engine flush is a waste of time.maxfield wrote:Change the oil 1000 miles, are you mad?Skip wrote:I have heard from reliable sources that paraffin based flushes can dislodge particles in the engine and clog oil ways etc. Your best bet is to do an oil change and then do another one in 1000 miles...

dont some people warn against engine flushes especially in older engines? something to do with perishing any seals or something iirc?
mine always has new oil as it burns so much i have to put in upto a litre every 500 miles or so. im led to believe that this is normal on a cossie engine though
