my 1988 325itouring is very thirsty so far i put Ԛ£30 in it and i have done 130miles and the guage is on the red. my last one did about 70-80 for a tenner .when i bought it a previous owner has fitted a device that is supposed to fool the engine to think its getting cold air at all time his words not mine could this be the problem or is it something else any info greatly recieved thanks thomas

I would expect about 120 miles from 20 squid. Driven pretty carefully.

My rooflining hasn't dropped in mine.....how is that related to fuel consumption!?

I get about 240/260 at the moment to a ful tank that to the top of the neck.

i dont hang about either. well not in the morning when im late for work.
dont think im ever on time for work to be honest :D

roof lining still there (praying smily) and i do about 7 miles to a liter, but then i have heavy foot days :twisted:

its not i just want to know if its common for them to do this because all the tourers i have seen here in belfast have dropped :beer:

Doing the 8 miles country/town roads backwards and forwards to work, overtaking white van man whenever I can, means that I do 280-300 miles on a tank, but a long journey up the motorway I sometimes get 360 miles.... :banana:

Roof lining on mine had falled down when I bought it but I've stuck it back up with some aerosol glue :)

My 335i is fitted with lpg so I get about 200 miles for under Ԛ£20 :D
