Today I brought my car out of storage after about 4 1/2 months of living in a Barn as have been using my company car and didnt want to leave the tourer in the street
To my suprise and delight I just turned the key and she fired into life and a steady idle instantly.
The only thing is the ABS ight on the dash is now on and it definately wasnt when i put ity too bed...
The battery was disconnected the whole time it was in the barn.
Anybody know why it might now be on, or what has happened i thought i read somewhere on here that the ECU needs to reset after the battery has been disconected for a while... could this be the cause??
cheers
sam

No resetting needed!
What exactly is the sequence of events with the light when you switch on the ignition, start the car, and drive it off.

In that case it's a wheel sensor problem. On the inner wings and under the rear seat base you will find four white round plug and sockets where the ABS sensors plug into the body loom.
Disconnect these one at a time and check the resistance of each. They should all be the same at just under 1000 ohms. If you don't find one that is different, check by driving the car again, as it may be a poor connection at one of the connectors, which you will now have probably cured.

as its been stored in a barn sam, there may be the chance that a mouse might have got in and thought yr car to be a nice warm place to build a home, so check to see if any wiring under the bonnet has been nibbled. (u may laugh) but its happened many times at work. check your fuses also.
I have bought this car from sam now and have found the problem, it was the front N/s wheel sensor was the cause the wires had been rubbing on the wheel and had frayed. robbed one from the other 325 ebay shed i have on the drive and bobs your uncle. cheers for the tips!!
