so help is needed,
i stripped a 325 cabriolet which had a lsd diff on and am now changing for the on off of my 316i with drums:
the one i removed off of the cab had the handbrake cables cut and i was wondering if they match to the cables already on the car?
also will my prop bolt straight up to the lsd diff?
my car is lowered and is a an absolute pain to get in the air to check so anyone who has the knowledge would be a great help.
the cab was an 89 and my 316 is a 1990, any help would be appreciated.
cheers for any help guys. ajay

You may well have to undo the large nut on the rear section of the prop (just behind the centre bearing) so you can shorten the prop slightly. The 325i diff is a larger unit and the prop/diff flange sits further forward.
Other than that it's a straight fit.
You may also find that the 4 top bolts don't seem to line up with the holes in the subframe, they do line up but are very fiddly.
