Need some advice, I have a manual set up, I think I got everything from my old 320. I now have a automatic 325 touring and it will be getting a manual conversion.
What bits do I need, and how hard is it? Im thinking a slight change to the trans tunnel were the stick comes through and the obvious pedal box with added bracket for the clutch fluid reserviour, I have the pipe work, is the mounting for the selector bush there or not? Is the prop the same?
Any help greatly appreciated.

Borrowed from the gearbox change threadgazza wrote:its not difficult but other than the box you will need propshaft as auto one is a different length diff should be ok but you will need a pedal box and master cylinder/reservoir and pipe for the slave cylinder as well as bits like gearknob and gator ...you will need to do a search for details on the inhibitor switch which will need to be disabled as well as a clutch and flywheel you need a spigot bearing for the crankshaft ...sounds a lot but its not really when i did mine i found it was so much easier having a doner car as by the time you have bought all the bits it adds up and if you are lucky enough to buy that £50 breaker it will keep the whole cost down
Hope this helps....

Only change where the gearstick comes through is to remove a little bracket from the centre console which otherwise would rip your gear lever gaiter.
325 manual gearbox, prop and diff are all completely different from those fitted to a 320 manual, but the 320 bits will fit a 325 engine, although the clutch and gearbox are weaker.
Use the 325 diff, and you can get away with the 320 box, clutch and prop.

The 325 auto rear diff different? I thought they would be the same.
Sound advice comming in I will be laying my hands on a 325 box, prop and if need be a rear differential of a manual.
