Just bought an Mtec 2 rear skirt and the bugger wont fit (after taking the bumper off lol)

The car is 1989 cabriolet no chrome on the bumper at all and has the black trim

This is the car as advertised on e-bay

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 4529305529

Can anyone tell me what rear skirt I can get to fit this and what the hell is the front skirt?

Thanks[/img]

I agree with that, so as far as i know both style bumpers will fit it!?
Ive never done it myself but this picture shows a Mk1 with Mtec 2 if your rear lights are the same youve got a Mk1 so both should fit if not the Mtech 1 wont fit. Hope that helps

The holes all line up but on my bumper at the ends of it they have black sort of "end" mouldings once the black rubber has been removed the skirt will fit on ok but once on the end mouldings can,t be put into place - I guess i could make them fit but just wondered why they would,nt

I thought the M Tec II rear bumper had to be modified to fit the pre-facelifts?

Don't know how though, lots of people on here have done it though I think.....DemonDaz springs to mind...

Sorry, I have only fitted the front so far, the rest of the kit is standard.
I have tried to offer up my rear valence to the back of the car and it definately will need some cutting.

I can't do that at the moment, as the missus is too peaved with me for just trying to keep it running/
