How easy is it to change the ATF on a 93 318ic M40 engine? Are there any steps in particular I should take?

Thanks

Easy job. Is worth changing the oil strainer at the same time.

I've decided to do the service on the car myself, never done one before also wanted to check if my shopping list is right;

Fuel Filter
Air Filter
Bosch Super plus spark plug x4
Oil Filter

Is there anything else I would need? The car has done 80k miles. Also is there any particular type of ATF I need or are they all standard and finally whats the best oil to purchase?

Thanks

Hi I would change the oil spray bar,rocker cover gasket, if you are buying ATF you might as well change power steering fluid as well.As for oil I use Castrol 15/40 but everyone has different ideas about oil.
