Does anyone know how to get the wire/spring wound lines out through the roof without cutitng anything? I thought the noodle on the end of the black plastic tilt n slide mechanism would pop off but it's not playing ball!

Unscrew the three bolts that hold the motor to release the cables.
Take off the sunroof outer panel and remove the top plates of the guides and the bits with the pin sticking out. (several small self tappers and two countersunk bolts respectively, each side.)
Pull the mountings for the roof panel forwards so that the cables come out of their guides, then just pull them back and out.
Did all this yesterday! Changing a manual roof to electric.

Cheers Brian, is this relevet on the manual roof as you mentioned "unscrew the 3 bolts that hold the motor to release the cables"???
I have everything out bar the winding mechaism inside the car that has the wires going out of each side, through the roof to the outside of the car where on each wire end I have the black plastic tilt and slide mechanism?

Still relevant. Unscrew the one little screw that holds the black cover, then the two cross head screws that are underneath. Handle then pulls out, complete with the white rectangular piece.
