I've read about the z3 conv, great for power racks, but Ive got a manual rack in the track car & I think I've buggered it at last event so new rack needed & the standard racks daftly long gearing is the biggest- (& only main one really) shortfall of the car so looking for quicker rack options.
Cant really be dealing with converting to pas then doing the z3 thing, but what about fitting one & runing it dry?? hmm know some of the seloc racers run dry pas racks but always seems dodgy to me.
Shorter rack options 325- manual rack

I've heard of a rack being run dry for the last 2 years and no probs. Talbot Sunbeam racks are even shorter than a Z3 arent they? Love quick racks, love that go kart feel
All you need to do is just join the two pipes with a joiner coming out of the rack and away you go

The zone forums have a search function. Simply typing in 'talbot' brings up plenty on the subject (plus a few posts mentioning some place in Wales!)
Cheers fellas, Sunbeam rack hardly easily available, will investigate the z3 dry idea.
