Apols for the 'simple' question. Bought a boot badge from ebay (seller is positive it's the size of the e30). Question - how do I safely remove the old and put on the new? Cheers. M.

Hot water and fishing wire to remove it.

gently gently catchy monky, as above, wrap a tea towel round a flat head screwdriver and pry upwards. Maybe a dose of hot water before to soften any glue

Removing - Hot water (to soften the glue), Fishing wire (to run round the back of the roundel to 'cut' the glue I presume), Flat head screwdriver (to pry it off). Got it, thanks.

Replacing - Best way to re-affix (glue type, etc)? Ideas, comments?

I think they are supposed to come with self adhesive backing. If yours is used, and doesn't, then I would suggest using either mirror sticky pads or thin number plate sticky pads, cut to shape.

There shouldn't be any glue on the roudel, (although I have found something like blu tack inside some).
There's been some confusion of this thread as to whether you are referring to the roundel or the 316i, etc.

Sorry for not being a bit clearer, it's the roundel I'm talking about.

So, no glue to worry about, just pry it off? How is it best re-affixed?

What about the model badges, do they have pins or are they just stuck on like the roundel?

The roundel has pins; the model badge is stuck on with an adhesive backing.
