I thought, while I am stripping all this down, I would renew the bearing. Is it necessary to remove/renew the flange arrowed on the hub picture? I cannot find any reference to it on the parts diagram.

Handbrake Cable removal and rear bearing questions

Just about to remove the hand brake cable from the drum brake backing plate. Before I attack the part marked with the arrow can anyone confirm that it can be replaced with part 12 (clamp) in the OEM parts diagram.
