I need a coil pack for the e30 m42 engine i'm about to drop into my e21.

Can i use the coil pack form any e30/e36 m40/m42/m44 based engine?

In theory, yes, I'd say. Just the mounting bracket / configuration differs.

Let me know if you need an E30 coil pack.

Not all iS models use the same type of coil packs.

All the E30/E36 M42 engines seem to use the individual type coils, the M44 has one large coil pack with a totally different connector and the M40 uses a distributor system so is incompatible.
