hey fellas, now ive heard u can fit the Motronic system on to the 323i's yeah? now i was just wondering exactly what parts i would need for this? and how much might it cost? I was thinkin of bagging the l-jet for a megasquirt system but im not too keen on the whole do-it-yourself thing, im not the biggest ECU/wiring expert....
also, i was looking at fitting an lsd, but would this work?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OBX-BMW- ... enameZWDVW
does this just fit into my diff case (?) and make it a slippy? coz its pretty hard to find a whole lsd here in Australia and i dont mind my ratio at the moment.
thanks
Motronic into 323i? and lsd....

To fit the motronic to a 323 you need
325 inlet/TB
325 injectors
325 air flow meter
later 325 wiring loom
front crank sensor and bracket
blue temp sensor
you may need the brown temp sensor to.
All the parts from 325 to mount the dizzy on to the cam pully
blanking plate to block off where old dizzy was
Chip for ECU to run it (fitted to later 325 ecu)
you may have to change the oil level sensor if the conector is different.
I am sure that is all.

yeah sorry i realised after posting that you were in oz so the second hand market would probably be a bit weak and therefore expensive.
The list above plus an ecu is still going to cost about A$2k though surely, afms are dear and i guess you may as well upgrade directly to a mass flow meter...
