Just changed my waterpump and cambelt today so had to flush the coolant.
I put new coolant in there slowly and bled the system according to how it mentions in a few posts on here. I waited for it to come out the bleed nipple once it done this i started the car. Ran the car for about 30mins and let all the bubbles come out and kept topping up the header tank when needed. the temp got to a quarter which is what it used to get to before the change and never went over.
Only thing is i dont get no hot air in the cabin, top two sliders to right bottom one to the left, fan on 2. All the pipes got nice and warm but still no hot air and temp didnt rise above quarter.
How shall i go about this? Keep bleeding the system?

You won't get any hot air to the cabin with the bottom slider to the left and others to the right. Heat will be going to screen and face vents!
Assuming this isn't the problem, fill the coolant bottle to the top, unscrew the hose clip for the top heater hose on the bulkhead, and take the hose off for a fraction of a second, before pushing it back on and re fixing.

Only thing is now i got a kncoking/rattling sound from the front seem to be coming from near the fan sounds a bit like a pneumatic drill the ones you get on the roadside. It seem to quieten if i opened the bleed screw?!? Have i screwed up somewhere?

Could be that pressure building in the hoses is causing them to swell, pushing them into the fan? Loosening the bleed screw releases the pressure and the hose returns to normal? Though could be coincidence.
Couple things you could check are that with the engine off, you can spin the fan without it catching anywhere. I had one that had somehow managed to twist one of the blades and that sometimes caught.
Also look for bulging hoses - they can be weakened when replacing other parts and will need replacing asap if they are bulging. The only times I've had E30's breakdown on me was due to me not replacing bulging hoses that subsequently burst!

ive taken it for a drive and the noise shut up by the time i got to the petrol station, maybe something was catching somewere and got ground?!?
But i checked all the pipes and fan and drive belts, they all seemed ok, jsut hope everythings alright
