i have managed to get all the electrics working on my convertible except the passenger side door mirror. i have put the meter across all the wires and the blue and black wire has no power to it when you operate the mirror switch. i have checked at the switch and there is power there. i have taken the foot well speaker panel off and checked the cable the other side of the wiring plug in the "A" post (behind the speaker) and there is power there. the car has been sat for 4 years and the corrosion has set in to the plugs. i need to unplug the wires at the a post. question is, can i just unplug a main single plug with all the wires together, and if so, how does it come apart. or is it wired up separately for each wire. hope this makes sence. i jumped a wire across to bridge the plug and the mirror works ok.
thanks, bondy.

The connector for the door in the hinge pillar is one multipin plug and socket.
Open the door, pull the rubber cover off, pull off the little piece of white plastic in the middle that's the shape of three small circles joined together, take two pairs of pliers, grip the two taps either side of the centre, and pull them towards the centre and out of the socket at the same time.
Clean everything up (fibreglass brush is ideal), put the little piece of plastic and the rubber cover back into place, give the pins and sockets a liberal dose of silicon grease, and push it back into the socket until it locks in place.

nice one. i managed to sort the problem out. there was a bad connection on the drivers side too. seems its had the problem before as the previous keeper had the plug bridged through the multi plug. the connections were 5hite, to say the least. all that was needed was to re crimp the wires, job done. i grabbed the middle bit with a pair of molies and wiggled the plug whilst pushing the two tangs towards the centre and it came out slowly. thanks for your help.
