Dear All,

As the title suggests, please i could use your expertise on this:

I have an '89 325i Sport............basically i need a new head...........the oil feed pipe is loosing pressure becasue just below where the nut is to screw it in are some seals andcylinderical tubes.....these have cracked and are irreplacable...........

so why i ask is "can i fit an 325i ETA head to my '89325i" will it still rev to 6500rpm

thanks

dnt think its a good idea without a lot of headwork first

i believe it sprays less oil on its cam etc so will no doubt slow ur car down etc

Unless you take your head and the ETA head match up anything thats different and take it down to a machine shop they can drill more oil journals if your that desperate, a mate done this and 6 years on he`s still bashing around in his 325 so somethings gone right, otherwise get another head, i have one BUT keeping it as im planning a serious head work on it!

the upside is that if you had the headreworked and a little more work at
same time youd end up with a 27 i think? winkeye

the short answer is NO !!!!!

Dont even attempt it, the pistons will hit the head !

source the correct 885 head, anthing else is dead money, and dead engine.....

Did you get the Super ETA over there? The SETA head will work but isn't as good as a real 885

Thanks all so much for your help,

Honestly apprec8 all your time in this post, will source the correct head then........jsut wanted to restore the car back to its former glory as i think we all do...........not enough oil in the current head due to leak means its rather noisy..........

thanks once again, will keep you posted......but if anyone has a head for a 325i Sport for sale, please do PM
