Hi all, can anyone tell me what are the dimentions of a 325 Throttle Body when its bored out, how many MM, and do you feel the difference?

Also i have types of 325 Throttle bodies, one of which has like an idle adjustment screw and the other dont have all the the linkage where the accelerator cable spring is longer, which is older and which is newer?

Cheers all

I would also like to know what size it is, thought this would be an easy question to answer? Or would those who know rather you bought one off the Zone? Not everyone is going to make their own BBTB, but some of us would like to try. If the question was, "where can I get a BBTB?" there's always an answer.

Well the thing is why im asking is that i have someone who can make the throttle body into a big bore and bore it out to maximum before it colapses, saying that he said he will try and fabricate a larger butterfly so its a proper BBTB , as i have a few throttle bodys lying about ill pass them over to him to experiment as long as one comes out perfect!! but if no one has the answer to myquestion, i aint crying... no worries..

If it'll help in the morning I'll get my digital vernier gauge out and measure the inside diameter, mines one of the zone BBTB's (before the shop)

I do have to say that when I fitted it I did notice the difference, throttle response was better (although this could just be my imagination) other people have said similiar things :D

16% bigger overall.

now do some maths

the short spring is pre facelift, tall spring is post, pre have the idle bypass, always more desirable imho

if you have a quantity of TB's I'll take all the old style ones you have, as long as the price is right....
