techie info please front shocks? fitments

a guy has asked me about my kit

he has a 325 mtec

am i right in saying his strut body will be the 51mm
my kit is for guys?

im assuming the mtec
is shorter springs stiffer valving in shocks
and definatly fitted to 51mm struts

The m-tec suspension on my 89 320i has 51mm legs, shorter springs (40mm I think) and gas shocks,. as it left the factory (the shocks are bilsteins)

factory sport springs are only approx 15 mm lower than standard.

and i want to make sure there fine for his car

so fitment wise
all 51mm struts are the same

and a new uprated shock will be a massive improvement over a ten yr old mtec or not shock eh

the kit i have is still in the box
matched springs and shocks 40/40

should be a great improvement
