Diff ratios

Does anyone know what the various diff ratios are for 318i, 320i and 325i E30's please.

3.25 m3,
3.64,3.73,3.91 etc for 325/sport
4.1 is an is ratio...but theres 2 case sizes....smaller engine cars generally come with small case diff.
others are known as large.

The 4.1 ratio small case is also standard fitment for the 320i models

Most 318i models I've worked on have either a 4.1 or 4.27 small case diff.

what sort of prices can expect, new or secondhand? Mine's a 320i H reg touring.

New they are £Â£Ã‚£'s

An open diff in good condition usually goes for £50 to £60, and an LSD in similar condition usually goes for £250+

pretty sure thats a 3.91 on a facelift sport mate.

There's a metal tag hanging from one of the rear cover bolts with the ratio stamped on to it.

They're usually very rusty though so you might not be able to read it.
