Hi Guys!
I have had a couple of battery issues with our 325i Cab, firstly when we bought it the battery was shot (nice of the guy to tell us) so we had to call out recovery to get home and secondly when I stupidly left the lights on.
Where we park is in a carpark with no mains points, anyone tried a battery pack? I found this which looks great for size but I have no specs.

The Pro Starter 2 looks good because it is a lot smaller than the conventional booster pack and could be left in the car. Anyone tried one or know if it has enough juice for 2.5litres... Not really keen on getting caught out again!
Thanks,
Frank

Be easier to buy a decent battery and fit a lights on warning.

You've got a point, but we bought a brand new battery! Still didn't help me after I left the lights on. I was thinking about a "lights-on" indicator as well. Have since spoke to a friend who tried a Pro-Starter on a 318 E34? (the next series forget the number) and it couldn't prime the starter system.
Still, any other thoughts welcome!
Frank
Thanks for response BTW.

I got one from Aldi for £20 ish, works a treat. I started a workmates uzisuzi trumper diesel at work with it (lights left on).

An E30 battery in decent order (e.g. new), should happily power the light for 12 hours or so, even on the small engined E30s. Always worth getting a 325 battery, even for a four pot.virginfrank wrote:You've got a point, but we bought a brand new battery! Still didn't help me after I left the lights on.

Yeah I guess your right. Thing is we got a new battery of a higher capacity. Maybe we have a current drain elsewhere. Cheers for comments, sorry I didn't spot your reply sooner.
