More random part swapping advice instead of testing! Cure one fault - cause five more!!!!
Does the fog light warning lamp in the instrument cluster light? If not, pull out the fog light relay, K8, and connect a piece of wire between battery + and pin 87 of the relay's socket. Do the foglights work with this in place? Does the warning lamp light up now?
Turn the foglights on. Does relay K8 click as you pull it out and push it back in?

take the switch apart...they go really green inside for some reason.
It's called 'verdigris'
Verdigris is the common name for the chemical Cu(CH 3 COO) 2 , or copper(II) acetate. It commonly occurs by the action of acetic acid when copper, brass or bronze is weathered and exposed to air or seawater over a period of time.

Had it in mine too, opened switch, cleaned it out and all worked fine!
