Hi guys i need help ive had my e30 cabby about four moths and it keep flattening the battery.

I have changed the alternator the belt the earth straps the battery everything and i still does it can anyone help

only other thing is that there is a drain on the battery.

Is there an alarm or immobiliser fitted ?

You can find out more in depth info by using the search function, but you should be able to isolate the problem by removing each of the fuses from the fuse box while measuring the drain on the battery.

yeah it has an immobilisor on it though i'm not sure what type it is at it came with the car
do i need a multimeter to check the battery drain when i remove the fuses?

yeah, multimeter need'd.

for reference, on my 325i with an immobiliser fitted, current drain with ignition off and boot light off is 0.6A

Normal drain is from about 30mA to 90mA, depending on what's fitted. Anything higher needs investigating.

Misread that in your first post! 0.6A (600ma) is very high. Sure you don't mean 0.06A?

Just gone and checked again...you are right Brian, meter flicking between 0.05/6A
