i've just bought a 318 is and the comp works but no back light,,,,is this easy to solve.......any idea's :( :( :( :( :(

Or you can go to the stealers and buy a whole new backlight bar, for a mere £22 or so!

Bulbs can be bought in the UK for a lot less than the ebay link (about 40p each, IIRC).
It's possible, I think I've read, that on a RH drive E30, you can remove the light bar after just removing the radio and trimming away a little of the black plastic in the way of the light bar.
