Replaced my air filter just now an upon opening the filter housing I found this hollow plastic tube (3 inches diameter open at both ends) sat vertically in the bottom. What's all that about then? Should it be there or has it worked its way loose from the pipes that lead to the airbox?

It should be poked into the inlet hole at the front of the airbox, so that it sticks out inside the box.
