A much easier job than it looks. After removing the obvious bits like the centre console, loosening the heater controls panel and unplugging the wiring socket at the back of the glovebox, then there's only four bolts that hold it in, two at each end.

Why do you need to unplug the wiring socket ?, it's attached to the bulkhead not the dash.

Certainly didn't unplug mine when fitting a new dash.

I believe Brian is refering to this section of wires. They feed all of the buttons, illumination, and instrument cluster. It terminates at a large rectangular white plug/socket on the underside of the glovebox.

i also removed/unplugged no wires with exception of instrument cluster, job will be easlier with a helper to get the dash back in, keep all the nuts and bolts for each part in seperate plastic ziplock bags., cover your upper steering column in gaffer tape or you may scratch it.

I found dash removal a pain in the arse and it took me a long time.

To be honest it was one of the first car jobs i did and i didnt know exactly what i was going :?

There are two looms that run across the dash from left to right.
One is part of the main body loom, and has to be disconnected from everything it connects to in the dash and remains behind in the car.
The other plugs in at the back left corner of the glovebox and comes out with the dash. Things that connect to it can be left connected.
