i've got a 4.45 from an e34 520i 1988-1991 model auto, what engine you got? if you've got a 318is you can put an e36 is box in and with this combo have a top speed at 6500rpm in 5th of 97 mph

you can also buy a 5.54 ratio motorsport cwp from bmw directly but it costs about £700 ive been told.

hiya i just p'md you btw.
with diff ratios basically the higher the number the closer all your gear speeds are. eg

a 3.64:1 will give on a 318is a 145mph (approx) top speed theoretically of course wheras
a 4.45:1 will give it a 120mph top speed and subsequently all the gears in between are shorter too.
