Ok Ive fitted a full set of leather from a (post facelift) 325 sport in my '83 323 but theres one problem...

The rear bench on my car has two large brackets that bolt it onto the shell of the car, however the sport bench is not held on this way. I assume there are two hidden clips as the female part is on the seat cover.

Can someone be kind enough to photograph this part on their sport so that I can fabricate the the parts I need?

Thanks in advance!

Get down to a scrapyard and chisel them out of a scrap shell.

There are two square metal clips attached to the body of the car that the rear seat bench pushes down onto. These are small loops of circular profile. To get a proper fitting, you should get them out of another E30 as Brian suggested as the metal needs to be the right thickness for the seat to push down firmly.

Perhaps you could take the leather off the new bench and fit it to your original seat of they are the same size and shape? Might be an easier option. You will need some hog rings and a bit of patience.

Cheers for that, unfortunately the two seats are totally incompatible, now to find a scrappy with a late E30 Coupe...
