There's a lot of differences suspension/running gear wise between a 316 and a 325 saloon. (Hardly any if they were both tourings).
Best plan, if there are good reasons to keep your present car and not just sell it and buy a 325, is to buy a rust expired or crash damaged 325 and swap over the complete front suspension, subframe, engine and box as one complete unit (lift the body off), swap the complete rear beam and suspension as well, and finally swap the coding plug from the instrument cluster.
Replace any suspect rubber bits along the way, check out the rear brake lines and fuel tank while they're accessible, and you'll end up with a first class 325, plus a host of spares or ebay fodder.

Rear brakes also will probably need changing from drum to disk. Also rear anti roll bar.

If I were to do 325i into my 318i touring, is it just front springs then engine, box, exhaust, prop, electrics, hoses, ecu. I should have rear ARB n'est ce pas? Got rear discs. There's a lot of differences suspension/running gear wise between a 316 and a 325 saloon. (Hardly any if they were both tourings).
