any1 done the steerin rack upgrade to an e36 one??

E36 rack fits straight in the E30 with the addition of a few washers on the mounting bolts, and gives less turns lock to lock.
Needs to be fitted with E30 trackrods, and the pressure hoses need modifying to fit.
Biggest problem is that there is no linkage between the column and rack that will fit. Need to make up a hybrid to fit.

Some M3 rack from some particular year, IIRC, but the big jump is E30 to E36. Difference between E36/Z3 variants is relatively small.
