Having problems with gear engagement on my 320i. When cold, i.e. first thing in the morning, car will NOT go in to reverse. Got to try several forward gears to find one that will engage, then move car forward a tiny amount. then able to engage reverse. Car has short shift fitted, but there is a little bit of wear in the bushes of the connecting arm. Clutch works ok, have bled clutch slave, again all ok. Gearbox oil ok.
Could the clutch plate be sticking on the splined shaft when cold? - Is there any cure short of dropping box etc?. No gear problems when running/starting off when warm.
Any ideas very welcome, thanks guys.
Won't go in to gear!!

Box oil new and up to correct level. Bled all old fluid out of clutch slave cylinder and replaced with new. Checked that release arm moves as soon as pedal depressed, but still same problem.
