I saw in another thread where BrianMoore was discussing using a fan from an E34 and the temp sensor. In addition, that the E30 came equiped with a relay and fuse that could be used???

Is there a DIY that illustrates this process? I am sending my baby to the shop for the timing belt, water pump, valve adjustment, and most likely a full tune up.......

I would like more info to keep from having to buy a fan clutch and going with electric.........

thanks!

Why do you feel the need to go electric a properly working viscous coupling is very efficent ,have never installed a elec fan in an E30 but have on other cars its not a difficult process .
BMW have provided a relay and fuse in the e30 but in not sure which one it is .

I have actually decided to just replace the fan clutch for now. However, this will be a mod that I perform later on, when all the modding begins!!!

I got a PM from someone that gave me all the details. Thanks!
