on how to replace a bottom ball joint?

how have u guys in the past pressed/knocked them out of the arm?

hi lads..just got a convertible from 92' e30 2 liters six cylinder..the problem is..no heatin' at all...cause one of the pipes what sticking out from inside has been broke so its not connected with the rubber pipes..any helping tips??

can you buy a ball joint on its own?i think it would be easier to replace the whole arm and they only cost about Ԛ£35 ish quid from ECP.ive never replaced just the balljoint.

most people just replace the full arm as fuzzy said,i have done this also.You can get the ball joint on its own but it needs to be pressed out.Also i believe, on the alloy arms they cant be replaced at all.

New joints are around Ԛ£18-20, new arm with joints is Ԛ£35-40 - although you will need to factor in a new bush as well with a new arm.

if one side goes replace the other side as well this will save you paying for the tracking twice when the other side goes in a few weeks/months time
