Brian,

My CPS is to be in at my local stealer tomorrow thankfully,

I seem to remember you saying that they are often temperature sensitive when they fail, now..... When i had the escapade with my car at the local so called mechanic, it wouldnt stall ( Car was hot)

But... tonight, it's been sat outside the unit all evening, and the car is freezing cold, and boy was it a total C*nt with me this evening, so you reckon that it points even more so at the CPS. E.g it happening even worse when its cold, real cold. Cant even get it to start at the minute.

Alex.

Usually fail when they're hot, but it's not an infallible rule.
The CPS is essentially a coil of very fine wire. It eventually breaks somewhere, and if the ends touch it works, if they don't, it doesn't.
