Hello,

Can anybody advise which recent twin tone BMW horn can be used on an E30 318i without extra wiring? Has anybody done this upgrade?

The horn on my car is on it's last legs and always sounded a bit meek - My 320 tourer, now sold, had twin horns that sounded great,

Thanks,

Sharknose

hiya sharknose, all 12v car horns would fit they all just have 1 in and 1 out, as long as you can make a bracket to bolt it too if its different then put anyone on. if you want a really loud horn buy a set of airhorns. and you're better off not going to bmw as they'll probably charge loads anyway.
cheers

I answered this one on a different thread last week.
E30s with twin horns have a different spec bodyshell and a different main wiring loom!!, so a "factory" fit of twin horns is unlikely.
Just fit two horns on the stud behind the centre grill in the form of an inverted V, and connect the wires to the second one in parallel with the original.
