hi, im thinking about purchasing the following muffler advertised on ebay but it says it will fit onto a late e30. Is there any difference between early and late model e30 exhaust systems and will this fit my pre-face lift e30?

all help is appreciated

Hi Mitchell, i have a pre facelift cab and im not sure of the difference in the exhaust systems but if you go to the
online ETK (second article on the tech page) it should help you.Failing that im sure someone more knowledgeable
will be along soon. Good luck with auction.

Hi, the exhaust in your link is the rear section of the 2 piece exhaust used on later models. Early models used a three piece system.

I.e. early models - 3 piece (excluding downpipes)
Late models - 2 piece (excluding downpipes)

You can fit a later two piece system but you will need the front section too. Vice versa you can fit the three piece to a later model from the downpipes back providing you have all three sections

Hope this makes sense :D
