charging probs

i have a charging prob on my 86 325i sport its not charging what so ever and no charging light coming on either.

So it's either the alternator not charging, or the battery not keeping the charge...
Can you jump/bump start it OK? if you can get it to start and it remains running then get the volts checked at the battery, if it's delivering 14 ish volts then the alternator is OK, but your battery is dead.
Have you checked the water levels in the battery? use distilled water to top up, not tap water.
Or you've got the boot light stuck permently on and it's draining the battery, or the alarm is knackered..
You need to explain what's wrong in more depth

cheers for the reply sorry there did not reliese i was so blunt above.but i got it sorted i changed the brushes and regulator and off it went charging again.
