325i tourer , and before i start ,how likely is it the bracket between the down pipe and front silencer that holds the two pipes up , to come off easily and go back on .

M10, as already stated. As for ease of removal / replacement, the worst thing that'll happen is they'll just snap with the first turn. So give them a liberal soaking with penetrating oil a good ԚÂahour before you do it.
