What fluid should i use in my LSD, i what grade of oil, any special requirements

LSDs require different oil from stanrad open diffs so dont put normal oil in.
the recommended oil by BMW is Castrol SAF-xj
despite this kind recommendation, im yet to find anywhere other than BMW that sell it by the litre. Only BMW sell it, an they sell it in 40 litre barrels. My local dealership once offered to fill me up a litre for about £10 so you could try that, alternatively a diff oil change at BMW is £40ish i think.
I wouldnt use any other oil than that mate unless the oilman recommends so, like massive says

I've used Sliktran Syn 5 from oilman in mine, nice stuff - put it in the gearbox too.
