Ok this one has stumped 1 main dealer, 2 specialist BMW garages and the UNIX nerd forum perhaps now I've found this site you guys can help! Here goes ...

I've got a light metalic ratlle a kind of tingly high pitched sound from nearside front. It kicks it at around 20mph and is gone by 30-35 mph. The front end was a bit light so I've just replace the Near side front strut - about to do the osf but when I ran the car the sound was still there. What could it be?

Cheers

Did you bend the rear plate when you had the leg off ?
It may be rubbing the disc, part no 4 on here.

Is the rear plate intact and firmly fixed?
