Hi guys, this is my second tech question today so i'll keep it short...

what diff ratios can we get for our e30's as factory spec?
I know theres 3.91 / 3.73 / 3.64 / 4.1 / 4.33, but what other ones are there? Didnt the early 323's come with a 3.45 diff?

Thanks people

There was a 3.46 diff.
M3 was on either 3.25 or 3.15.
Wasn't there a 4.27?

4.27 was on some 320's?

3.46 is 320iS i think

thats gotta be most isn't it? apart from 316 autos and other oddball cars

how about a 325iX they had two different ratio diffs for front and rear, i think the front was 3.91

4,10 on 6's and 4,27 on 4's I think is the best bet but then your gears run out quicker ya accelerate faster though

I have just stripped a 318is for parts to convert my 318i cab. i took the diff off tonight and the tag says its a 4.10. i have had 125mph from my M40 without hitting the limiter but i dont think it was far off. what can i expect from a 4.10 diff when the M42 goes in?
